I’m four months into my job and I got put onto a PIP. I worked so hard to break into IB, put up all the hours and even working 2am nights for weeks, learned a ton, and improved a lot along the way as the sole analyst yet this happens. Context: 760 GMAT, MBB (with earlier Corp. experience), not a great GPA in my BA but 4.0-equivalent in my MSc, good ECs. EU-based

Genuinely curious question: why do so many international students want to get MBAs in the US... it’s hard for them to get work here, with Trump it’s hard to even get and stay here, so what’s the appeal? There are plenty of other good universities internationally so why the expensive ones in the US?

What should I be keeping in mind when deciding to apply R1 R2 R3 etc.

I keep hearing that Booth’s MBA program is rigorous (maybe the most rigorous out of M7). That said, how much more work are students expected to do compared to HBS, Wharton, Kellogg, etc.? I don’t know if this is an outdated opinion, considering a lot of MBAs are very demanding. Booth is personally my top choice for having a flexible curriculum & 2-3 days of classes. But I really want to know what to expect around the “rigorous” label. Does it mean I’ll be buried in coursework the other 2-3 days?
