I applied at 24 to begin program at 25 (3 years of WE). Got into an M3 and was satisfied with that.
For me it was all about the story you want to tell. If I had waited a year, I would have done something beyond McKinsey to dive into an industry which is what I want to do. Sort of a toss-up how long it takes to make a splash. I wouldn’t jump ship just for an MBA application.
C3, a lot of small to medium sized nonprofits are looking for people with analytical skill sets to round out their boards. Reach out and/or get involved with nonprofits that align with your passions and you might be surprised.
Source: Also 25, also on a board of directors.
Applied to HSB and GSB at 25 with 3 years of experience and got into HBS. Feels like many admitted students are in a similar age group. I would apply as early as possible considering the risk not to get in on the first attempt (many applicants make it on their second attempt!)

Haha I for one am not a stalker, I’d just like some advice 😁
Applied to two M7s, got into one. Another year of experience probably would be the perfect amount, but ended up getting in anyways. I’m burning out, so ready for the shift.

Also applied at 25. Interviews at a few top schools, accepted one of them and withdrew from others after.
I don’t think there’s any issue with applying young if you can make a case for demonstrated leadership inside and outside of work and a case for “why MBA why now”. I’d done an externship in industry and had a few years of both firm volunteer work and outside volunteer work, so knew that it was the right time for me to tell a story about the kind of career to have and leader I wanted to be.
Apply when you feel you are ready - whether now or the next year!
Applied at 25 to enter at 26 to HSW, rejected from all without interview. Applied again at 26 to enter at 27, got into W and another M7 (waitlist then denied at H) It was the right time for me but if I’d waited til 27 to enter at 28 expect I’d have gotten into H. You have to make sure the timing is right for you most important but if you’re indifferent, 27 would have been the sweet spot.

Got one M7 interview and 3 T15 interviews out of 7 apps. Have the third t15 interview next week so not sure if I will get in anywhere but so far have not.
One school specifically said they really liked me but thought I didn’t have enough work exp and want me to apply next year....
Hope that helps
Got into 3 M7s and 1 T15. I don’t think waiting a year would have significantly helped me except that I would have an additional promotion. I’ve been on 6 projects (mix of lengths) with some international clients that all tied in to my story and where I want to be post B-school. Also have a few other voluntary activities so all in all had a good range of experiences that I could use for essays, stories and interviews. Overall, I’m glad I applied this year and happy with the results.

Very, thank you! Any essay advice, especially for the super open ended ones like HS?
Got into 3 m7 and 10 of the 11 schools I applied to.
Don’t really see the point of waiting longer if you’re in consulting, unless you think you can get to your end goal/company without an mba and try that first
Def a mistake lol. Would not recommend
Got into four T15s with money. From an ROI standpoint I’m very happy with leaving now, would’ve been harder decision in a year (after promo).
Mind sharing stats :) just curious
Applied to 3 M7s and got into one. Decided if I had a shot this year I should take it and try to save myself two extra years of pre-mba work, which was my original plan. Super grateful I took the risk, because I can start my post MBA career that much earlier and ended at a school I'm very happy with
