Faced this weird behaviour from Optum recently. Gave interview for Data Scientist position. HR said feedback is positive. Asked for documents. It's been month now since I have shared the documents. I have no update on the offer. Today I called HR, she called me back saying the position is on hold due to recalibration in team, She has shared interview feedbacks to other teams and will get back to me in couple of days. I am clueless now. My last working day is approaching (In a month). Any Help??

This post would have made a lot more sense a year ago. Even though I consider myself a republican I think we’re heading in a better direction now in terms of day-to-day stability. Why are you bringing up old/sensitive political topics in this bowl via a poorly phrased generic question?
I think it’s both parties imo. The US just seems to have major issues bubbling up more similar to say Russia or other less developed countries than developed nations like the UK, Switzerland, West Europe

Yes, but the US has issues that cut much more deep. Mostly related to income inequality that’s reaching levels of Latin America/Mexico. I’m scared of both sides at this point— socialism & identity politics on the left and authoritarianism on the right. Both are really bad.
It’s easy when you’re growing rapidly, but we’re not anymore- emerging markets like China are larger now so we can’t simply grow out of these issues or hide them with growth.
So where are you moving that’s democratic and stable?

Remember that the news skews partisan and negative. Real life ain’t so bad for the majority living in the US. Look at net immigration stats because they’ll tell you all you need to know about how the US compares to other countries

Nooo it’s way before that. Eisenhower, Reagan, and Nixon used propaganda to get the religious right on their side then sold our interests to corporations
Honestly yes I still think about it. For me the “etc” is our healthcare system, sexism and racism, gun control issues and more. Not sure there’s a place that has solved all of those issues lol
