Advice needed: I met a senior exec at a virtual industry event, we've stayed in touch during COVID via email. Shared with him a white paper I wrote, which he responded positively to, going as far as to CC his senior staff and telling them to read it. I want to transition to this organization, but they don't have any jobs available that fit right now. Should I broach this job interest now or wait until a suitable role in his division pops up?

It’s a lot more money, more aligned with my career goals, and will have better work life balance. I’d be an idiot to not take this great new opportunity! I believe in the philosophy of learning from other's experiences, success stories, mistakes and regrets while keeping in mind that similar set of life events may unfold into totally different ways/outcomes for others as there are always too many variables in the equation called LIFE. People may arrive at different destinations at different times while being on the almost similar path.
