Advise needed - My firm announced layoffs will take place in August and I’m about to go on Maternity leave in October. I’m concerned I may be impacted. Is it better to start looking for a job now while I am still employed (even though I’ll be giving birth in 2 months) or wait until 12 weeks after giving birth (and potentially unemployed)? I’m scared that looking for a job while unemployed for so long will make companies not want to hire me.

From application until offer, the timelines can be stretched out. I'd recommend start applying as early as you're ready to. It might take 2-3 months before you can start a new job from the time you're called for your first interview

Any one recently joined Indeed? Want to know if Indeed asked for a reliving/experience letter from the previous employer. I am joining Indeed in July. Additional Posts in Risk Assurance

I’m thinking of making a switch from 4YOE in Industry to Public as a senior associate in Assurance. Do PA firm expect you to already know everything, or do they provide training to help you catch on? How challenging is it coming from industry to PA? What could be some of their expectations? And how do you exceed that?

Currently a first year staff in Risk Advisory in a Mid-Tier Firm hoping to move to Big 4 for either Risk or Cyber. When would be the most appropriate time to make the change? I heard that Senior Staff in mid-tier would most likely be hired as an “Experienced Hire” in Big 4. So would it be smarter to make the move now as a first year staff since I’ll be considered Experienced Hire anyway?
