Cool story bro. AI isn’t a team. It’s the technology that replaced your team.
Thank you for your service. <3
As someone who used to be a developer and now in production, i don’t mean to be condescending but you don’t understand the business.
If you are using AI generated images, almost every model except Getty doesn’t have licensed use of the image for reproduction or retransmission which is what is being argued is the process for training models. (There’s pending litigation that Disney is backing as well.) … Running this content puts the client at risk legally and reputationally.
(You’re welcome for this PSA btw. I hope i saved you legal fees.)
I agree with you, but when I see Sketchers ads in the subway flagrantly using AI illustrations, I have to wonder if there actually are or will ever be any legal implications.
Hopefully, when everyone is doing the same thing, you’ll have something different to offer. Because it won’t be your ability to write prompts.
The advantage OP has is they are engaging with and utilizing AI in a way that is producing the result they wanted. They are definitely ahead of anyone yet to embrace AI. It will be a required skill for anyone in the ad industry.
Gonna bypass the hate and agree with OP on this. Go ahead and knock the tools now, but it definitely helps in the process. Witnessed an agency win a client because they stepped up and made the spec ads with Veo 3 vs scripts. Pretty soon you'll be able to make full blown games look up "Genie 3" if you don't believe me.
I'm all for TV spot experience becoming democratized. I want to see more test work get made vs a script. A script can bomb, but you can't ignore a video.
Democratized is what people with no clue what they're doing say so they don't have to learn how to be good at things.
People used to put effort into bait
Zzzzzzzz
I'm all for using tools as tools, and generative AI is a hot tool right now. BUt if it is replacing your team and you are only supplying the prompts to direct it, remember that Ai knows AI better than you and can suggest better, more effective prompts. This tells us that AI is already better at utilizing AI, and that what you are doing is feeding it data to replace you as the leader of your team. Yes, it was your idea this time, but AI is listening. Ask it for 10 ideas that are more creative than yours, more effective and innovative than yours, and see the "magic" you are nourishing by replacing strategists, designers, illustrators, motion designers, and editors. I'll wager the list will push past yours and spotlight how uneeded you have made yourself. Now put your head back in the sand.
You just don’t understand ai and how it works. It’s NOT replacing you, it’s helping you. It’s TOOL like the computer or photoshop. You just don’t just press a button and it spews out designs. Anyone can and will do that. You are in charge of directing the idea. Here’s your chance to use this tool to create unique ideas that have never been possible before. Duh!

Give up what?
If you’re not using ai for your job and loving it, you don’t know how to use ai and love it.
So what did you do exactly?
No I think he’s referring to a guy named Mike.
If AI replaced your team, your team was superfluous to begin with.
*transform creatives right out of a job.
Fixed it for you.
