Am I the only one who feels underpaid for what I do? You stay focused to avoid mistakes, handle rude customers, and get little to no support from management who expect you to figure things out alone. Then the paycheck comes, barely covering basics. It’s frustrating to give so much and still feel it’s not enough.

Does anyone here actually feel fairly compensated for the work they do?

What you're describing seems to be a pretty common condition throughout the retail industry. There are days when I wonder why I'm even bothering to show up and put up with all the hassles that will be part of my day. I had been hoping to find a better job this year, but the job market hasn't cooperated. What keeps me going is knowing I can figure out a better future.

I agree. The industry we are in is severely underpaid for what we actually do for the company we work for. I wish we were paid a bit better because we work so hard and it feels like get paid in pennies sometimes.

You're not alone in that feeling at all. Im blessed to have a job, but its getting harder and harder to go to work every day. But I have bills to pay, and even though I'm barely making it on what I make at least I'm able to pay my bills.

Would it be hard to get a exp associate role in advisory at a B4 as someone with about 10 months in audit at EY, 7 months experience in corporate accounting at a F300 and CPA? Hated my time at the F300 but had thought the grass would be greener in industry. I’m starting a financial analyst position at a major hospital system in my area soon and want to stick with that for a couple years before making a transition but was curious if I just don’t have the right experience for a role in advisory.

I need help. I'm dealing with multiple losses in the same week and having a hard time... I took some time off from work but I have no motivation to do anything. I don't want to go back to work and don't care about my work right now. I want to quit but I don't want to make a rash decision but need a long break. It's also not fair to my team that I can't give it my 100%. What can I do?

Does anyone else struggle with being a freelancer while also being a natural leader? I always feel in freelance roles that they would prefer I just shut up (even though my ideas have been praised and implemented plenty), esp within my own dept. In a full-time role, taking charge is expected, but I'm feeling like I should just sit back and take orders vs trying to be proactive or having thoughts in a freelance role.
