I think just about anyone has to feel some degree of worry when reading about all the layoffs taking place. I don't believe Amazon's excuse about AI making it necessary, I think they're just weeding out departments that haven't performed and so on. I fear we could be pushed into a recession that will cost a lot of us our jobs. Best approach is to build up your emergency fund. It's like the advice people give before a hurricane, hope for the best but prepare for the worst.
Ya, I'm not specifically talking just about AI, but I think they could easily get rid of a lot of jobs and not lose out on much productivity.
It is hard not to feel at risk when you see how many layoffs are happening all over the United States Right now. I don't think anyone should ever feel like their job is "stable." We never know what could happen.
Layoffs are being driven by the uncertainty created by the current administration.
Tariffs, blowing up alliances, retribution… this has caused economic paralysis, crazy inflation and much pain for lower and middle class.
And - think about the role of “influencers”…..they shill a product to make you buy or do something. Time for us to think for ourselves and realize votes really do matter. There’s never perfection… but there is pragmatic… and this admin is neither.

Thinking that layoffs are politically driven is something else. Need to reexamine the facts my friend.
