However, there are times when I feel like my brain is so slow when understanding client’s JE flow esp when it comes to accrual/reserve and where manual AJEs are involved etc. I feel like understanding accounting in the context of audit is different from doing the actual corporate accounting. Tax senior with CPA at small firm. Best way to get to Big 4 audit? (LA or OC) Went to non-target so little to no alumni at B4. I don’t mind the switch to a lower title since audit was always my preference and was never a fan of tax (stayed local for family).
