East London - Particularly Canning Town, Beckton, West Silvertown etc. Huge growth potential if you are buying a flat because so much imminent development is about to occur there. If you're renting it's not bad either.
I work in Canary Wharf, I brought a place in barking (30 min door to door) as they are developing the area, rentals are available but if you want to buy great area my apartment (two bed) just got a couple extra grand due to the developments. Cheap shopping Lidl and Asda within walking barbers and b&m for homeward. Honestly perfect, I don’t do travelling as in I won’t travel more than 30 mins as it’s too much effort.
Crawley is quite close and its a 1 hour commute door to door. It's also where the Gatwick office is located
Agreed with EY1. east London, docklands area. Especially with the city hall regeneration happening, will be a good investment
