Hi! I’m a senior recruiter with 8 years of agency experience looking to make a move into recruiting management. What can I do to set myself apart and prep for the role? Any recruiting action items or impacts I can take back and implement on my team?
Would it be inappropriate to email the would-be manager directly about a position update?
I heard from the recruiter in early June but after a month now no new updates after telling me another recruiter would reach out soon. 2 voicemails and an email, no response.
I interviewed for the position back in March so I have met him. The company instituted a hiring freeze soon after which lifted June 1. I'm just unsure what to do besides wait at this point.
I have asked for a referral at CSG. How do they pay? Similar to indian service companies? Anyone working there?
NatWest's hiring manager has asked me for salary expectations of B6 Data Analyst and my experience is 3.5 yrs with a CTC of 6.65. Considering I have to move to Bangalore l'm thinking of asking 13 or 14.. is it a big ask? If so, what do you think is a good ask? Please help. Thanks in advance :)
New here. I am an IT/Technical PM with CSM. Does anyone know of an open PM or Scrum Master position in Atlanta GA or EST time?
Hi all reposting here in case I get some help.
I've go an offer for a position as an SRE at Google Dublin. Even though I'll be losing some base salary, and a level from where I am at Microsoft, I'm considering moving. However, I was hoping somebody working at Google in Dublin could share which benefits you have to compare with (currently at Microsoft we have health insurance, life insurance, pension plan, subsidized meals).
Also, does anybody know if Google Dublin pays for the on call?
Had a really great initial interview with a recruiter for a CS role at a company I’m dying to work for! The recruiter went over next steps which would included scheduling an interview with the hiring manager next. I was interviewed on a Tuesday and he said he’d get back about the inteveriw with the hiring manager at the end of the week, or latest Monday. I also followed up with a thank you email after the interview. It’s now the following Friday (almost 9 days later) Should I follow up or wait?

Do any entry level paralegals out there use EverLaw? Is it easy to learn and does anyone have recommended resources for managing e-discovery? Im starting a new role that is heavy in e-discovery and need to hit the ground running.
Is it just me, or is it common for former union bosses who go into corporate management to have an inherent inclination try to treat their employees the same way they would treat their employer in their previous role? Anyone else have a similar experience?
I have 5 months and 10 years of experience in Fullstack .NET application development. I am actively looking for a change. Plz do suggest any openings.
Thanks in advance.
Finishing 90 days in new role and I am doing really, really well. The only thing is that I get the vibe that people in management and my peers feel that I’m arrogant. I take feedback well or so I think. I ask questions when I don’t know things and I admit and own things when I’m wrong. The only thing is that I tend to like to work on my own and it’s because I have an introverted personality, I think. Am I fucking up? Is it envy? Or am I arrogant?
Looking for recruiting firms to help me find my next project / program management role.
Struggling to determine which firms can help with PM roles AND I'm struggling to get the ones I do find to respond to me. It may have something to do where I'm at in my career - 15+ years of PM experience & director-level roles at my last 2 companies - so more exec level but not quite C-Suite. Have tons of one-off recruiters hitting me up on LinkedIn about contract PM roles but that's not what I want.
That feeling when your deep OTM SPY put you bought in April finally expires and falls off your position report...
How much do you think a customer marketing associate at Velocity Global makes? I applied to their posting but no salary insights to be found for this position.
Hey there! Wanted to gather some opinions. How much of a salary increase would you require if you were going from a fully remote position to a hybrid position? 3 days in/2 out with about a 45 min- hour commute by train.
I have accepted an offer at another company and because I have some equity vesting at the end of February, I’m delaying my departure. Is 3/4 weeks notice too much or should I just wait to give standard. I would have wanted to give more notice even if the award vest wasn’t a concern but don’t want to jeopardize that.
Anyone participating in dry January or done similar things in the past? Did you notice an effect on mental health or other benefits?
Hi Fishes, Great to Connect! Can anyone tell me what are the chances for a contractor to convert into a full-time employee in Google India? Does Google convert any of 3rd party payroll contractors into full-time employees?

If You Can’t Find a Spouse Who Supports Your Career, Stay Single
Do you agree with this? I find it quite hard... https://hbr.org/2017/10/if-you-cant-find-a-spouse-who-supports-your-career-stay-single
Looking to apply for a manager role in my team. Any tips for the interview?
Whats your biggest challange as a manager?
What do you enjoy most?
How do you manage your friends/people who used to be in your team?
Leaving a company I love because of a shitty boss. First time leaving on “bad terms”. Reported boss to HR for bullying. Worried this is a dent in my career. I start a new job in 2 weeks.
Got through final round with Deloitte LS consulting role but told there is a hiring freeze, followed up two weeks after, no response, then another two weeks later, nothing. Hold tight or dead end?
Why do agencies post jobs here instead of LinkedIn or their own agency sites? I see posts here that aren’t advertised elsewhere, curious why fishbowl?
I recently got an offer from Accenture ATCI. Can you please tell me about the current bench scenario there and how long do they take for assigning project? Will there be any interview for getting project??
Anyone at PayPal willing to give out a referral?
I have received offer from Epam Systems. I need your guidance. My preference is WLB and Job security.
Could you please help me in deciding
Wow did not know how many calories vegetable oil has! PSA be wary of any recipe that tells you to add more than a tablespoon. Just made a homemade waffle and the amount of calories it has is disgusting.
I started a new job in May. I took a step down from Paralegal to Legal Asst. At my interview I was told that to them the title was interchangeable & I would be doing Paralegal work, especially considering that I knew how to do the heavy Paralegal work. But it’s been 6 months of tedious admin work & when I point out mistakes on pleadings, question case strategy or discovery methods, & suggest more effective ways to get things done, I get these weird looks or the brush off. What can I do?
Recently moved from insurance to healthcare domain. I am reading about healthcare and particularly interested in understanding the health care value chain. Looking for any flowcharts, process flow, etc
Hi all—sorry this might be a bit personal or tmi, but I started big law about a year ago, which has been incredibly stressful etc. since then, I’ve noticed that my cycle has gone haywire, I miss periods or getting multiple the same month, there’s just no predictability anymore. I was wondering if anyone else has gone through this before? Does it get better/does your body adjust to the stress or will this just be my life now?

After nearly a year of $0 income, I finally stopped trying to get another job, and began hunting my own clients. Not to jinx it, but today I bagged my third. One more and I'll be making what I used to
Do you find it ironic how ageist this business is and yet almost 80% of the creative references I see for projects were created by someone over 40?
This kind of gatekeeping should be illegal. An experienced person who can do the job and who is willing to take a lower-ranking and lower-paying job should not be turned down.
Took a gig at a start-up (all things under one roof). No surprise, 18 months later, I’m unemployed. Learned a ton, but I’m a 52 year old Acct person looking for my next move.

I will be let go within 6 months due to my cost aka salary. I’ve generated untold amounts of revenue and profit in my tenure. It’s frustrating I’ll take a pay cut and work in TV instead.
Problem No.352 w/ open floor plans: when your digital agency uses all google products, so when you’re online at work you’re hounded by digital ads for Pharma & other products that scream “I’m older.”
Ok boomer? I just heard this term, was used by a millennial politician to insult a rival. If I ever hear this I’ll say, ok then and good luck with the job search.
I’m glad there’s finally a list like this. But it’s so obvious these were done by PR people at agencies because of the blatant display of Titleism. Show me a list of 40 over 40 of people voted on by their peers or others in the industry. The ones that are crushing it but either didn’t get the fancy title or turned down the title because they also want work-life balance.
I’m about to demote my title and chop 10 years off my resume. The part that hurts is those years have some great brands and my time at BBDO. But I hear this is the only way to get work again. Ugh.
Do you relate better to the C level and management folks closer to your own age or the 20 somethings closer to your position?
Chopped off 15 years or experience on LI. Thinking about dyeing my grays now. It will be a tough road, since the ppl I work with are the ones giving me the grays. 😂
Hey L.A. fish
I got written up due to a millennial aged co-worker whose feelings I accidentally hurt during a meeting. I didn’t call the person any derogatory names or shout or do anything out of the ordinary. I just pointed out some strategic errors that would have effected the deliverables. I was told by my supervisor that people of this persons age don’t respond well to criticism and that I need to find another way to communicate when they’ve failed to complete a task properly. Anyone have any suggestions?
