Interview tomorrow for a tax associate opening at RSM. Been working in a mid-size city (different firm) that is about 70 minutes from this new home office in a larger metro. How flexible is WFH or dual model going forward post Covid? Am interested in this position and going to tax, but not be able to relocate for family reasons. Don’t want to drive 700 miles per week M-F. What will dual model be like going forward? 1-2 times week, 4-5 month? Seems like tax was more flexible than audit pre-Covid

Looking to get an Alfa Romeo Giulia Ti sometime this year. Brand new the MSRP is about 45K and despite the reputation of the old Alfa Romeo’s from the 90’s these seem to be night and day more reliable. Has anyone gotten funding for their startup from an angel investor? A friend from grad school submitted a patent but needs funding for the patent fees, then a clinical trial. (Not looking to sell to big pharma company. Also, the therapy itself cannot be patented, but my friend has the patent for the technology that produces it.)

I had an interview with aws for a marketing role. Is it true that they offer 10 days PTO for your first year?? How is this possible?

Sanity check. I like a nice lifestyle. Currently make 350-550k with bonus. 53 years old. About 400k in brokerage. Another 1.9million in retirement accounts. House worth 1.2 million with loan of 625k. For retirement pension will be $2400 per mo which goes to my wife if I die for life. Another 3800k Per month estimated from Social Security. I plan on working another 10 years or so maybe less once the kids graduate college. I am this will be out in 2024. What should I be doing or thinking about? 

I’ve been working in public accounting (audit) for a year and I don’t enjoy the work and don’t see myself in this position for much longer. I’ve been thinking about going into marketing but stuck on how to get started. I know I have no prior experience, but since I’m early in my career and with taking some courses/certifications (Google analytics, SEO, etc.) to boost my resume, I’m hoping to make the switch. Any advice on where to start, what type of marketing positions I would align with, etc?

Pricing Strategy vs. Marketing Communications (both in Pharma)? Which role do you guys/gals believe better sets one up for a leadership role in marketing in the future. Comp for both roles are equivalent and I like both specializations equally, so neither comp nor interest is a factor.
