One of my closest friends have become so incredibly negative and self obsessed with her petty problems lately. I feel like all I do everyday is listen to her whine and complain! Are there any Teaching Permit for Statutory Leave (TPSL) substitute teachers? If so how did you get into it? I’m covering a position that should really be covered by someone who has one and will not be able to cover the whole assignment. As it is, I am in a weird loophole. The main teacher is in 3 days a week and her co-teacher 2 days a week. Both are out so I am covering techinically 2 different teachers and thus doing 30 days for each of them. How do I get upgraded to the TPSL?

I just got approved to start my hiring process as a substitute teacher in Hudson County. I just wonder how much is the pay per hour and if they will give me the option to work at the same school or they will make me rotate between schools as needed?

I am a substitute teacher. I was a social worker in a previous Ife. After 8 years I have discovered that substitute teaching is perfect for me and I love it. The past few years I have found a niche in high school. The kids are incredible and I can't wait for the school year to begin. However there have already been several opportunities in middle school. I will admit I'm a little nervous about middle school. Does anyone have any suggestions about middle school students?

I have recently moved and am also pregnant so I'm taking a year off from teaching and subbing this year. I'm fine with elementary age children but what tips do you have for middle schoolers??
