Find it the code for the actual paint color for the touchups. Without that you're relegated to repainting. First thing I did when I bought a new build was get all of the codes for every paint color in the house. It's been a life saver.

So you can take a chip off the existing paint and take it to Home Depot. They will match it and give you the mix which will be almost resembling the paint. The difference will still be there as paint fades over the time due to sunlight and oxidation. If you go too far between the painting, you will see that different walls have different shades due to difference in how much light it faces. That being said, you may still have to paint the entire wall. It shouldn’t take more than an hour or two.

Paint changes color slightly over time. You can’t paint small sections on an old wall without it being visible. You need to paint the whole thing.

Use a totally different color and make it a polka dot wall.

Can you blend it in and make it an ombré? Or hang photos?

Feather it outside of the touch up spot. It blends the new paint in with the old paint.
You can get the right color and the WRONG finish and it will never look the same. Get the correct formula and work from there.

Try 2-3 shades lighter. Get a couple sample cans.

I recommend getting quotes now, then scheduling closer to the fall, just before the rain, depending on where you live..to get the best deal!

Better off buying a sprayer and it can be done quick. It’s all in the prepwork
