Any thoughts on when the real estate market will revamp? Four years ago, firms were hiring for real estate attorneys left and right. We were on high demand. Now things seem to be on hold. Any thoughts on when things may go back to normal?

What do you mean by “the market”? Keep in mind that the boom we saw in 2021-22 was a once-in-a-lifetime phenomenon, caused by low rates, excess cash, tectonic shifts in sectors and demands, and COVID boredom. That market is never coming back (which isn’t to say there may not be other tectonic market shifts). The legal/lateral market was driven in large part by the economic market. As others have pointed out, there are still plenty of opportunities out there.

Thoughts? This seems decent based on my research but couldn't find a ton of data points. What is the career trajectory/opportunity like is a Google CE? Opportunities to move to product later on or will I be heavily soloed within tech? How do refreshers work? For example at other tech companies I've heard only about 10% of a team might receive refreshers each year

Can anyone offer advice for helping with adderall side effects? I was diagnosed a few months ago and I am new to medication. I have been taking 20 mg xr in the morning but have a terrible crash around 2/3pm each day where I just get very very tired. Doctor recommended 10mg ir mid day to combat but I still experience pretty severe fatigue as a side effect. Just wondering if anyone has found any natural strategies to cope or mitigate. Thanks!

I’m so bad at writing the background/ facts section for briefs… it always gets heavily edited and no one is giving me constructive feedback other than “advocate more”. In contrast, my legal argument section is generally without edits. For context, first defense lit job post appellate clerkship. Is this normal?? Any tips for getting better other than “advocating more”?

Just had a hearing on my motion to compel where OC told the judge we hadn’t conferred before filing the motion. Not only did I attempt to confer on 3 separate dates, I attached the emails and his response that he refused to confer to my motion. Judge didn’t care, as soon as she heard him say we hadn’t conferred she denied the motion. Not asking a question, just needed to vent.
