I may be in the minority, but I’m going to say to NOT use AI. This is a skill you need to manually develop if you want to excel. (AI works better as an editor or sounding board here, not as a drafter).
There are books you can find on the topic (expand your scope to include negotiation), but the best resource is going to be your inbox. See emails sent from counterparties, emails sent from your higher ups, etc. See the way that they phrase things to a given audience. Steal some lines and practice them.
I’m a fan of handwriting them out, it makes it stick WAY better than typing or copy/pasting.
Find a mentor within your firm and ask for some blunt feedback. Follow their advice and thank them regularly.
The chief got it. You wanna know what soft skills you should be developing. Is it your writing, your speaking, your interactions with others (opposing counsel, judges, firm lawyers/partners, etc), etc? You don’t likely lack all of them but you may have a weakness in one or two. Everyone does. Find out and work on it.
Is it your communication? Or is it general organization, technology use, that sort of thing? Very different answers for each.
