Ask an assistant or paralegal. They will spill the exact tea re everyone's patterns. Do not ask a partner.
I’d say 830-530. Or the hours your office is open
9-6
I would figure out the earliest that any partner arrives and be there just before (unless you have a partner occasionally coming super early). Then each day I’d stay until the last partner is gone. Do this the first month and by then you’ll get a better feel of what everyone is doing and can adjust.
Yes I should have clarified. I wouldn’t do what I suggested if any partner is keeping “extreme” hours. OP said partners are inconsistent and come and go so I wasn’t picturing long hours.
Maybe 7 to start? And then as you get used to the place, you can then dial it back

9-5:30/6.
You should ask a paralegal. Or ask someone who onboarded you from HR. An associate at a prior firm made the mistake of not finding out and took it upon himself to make his own hours. He lasted about 6-9 months before he was asked to leave.
Very firm dependent and field/area dependent. I'm at a small PI firm and usually work 8:30-6:30, but partners and other associates are sometimes here before me, sometimes they leave before me, sometimes I leave before them. Depends completely on what we have going on, pretty flexible on that front
At least 15 mins before first partner arrives (or 8:30ish if it’s really inconsistent) to after most partners have left or 6pm or so
