Any one familiar with comp for a Portfolio Associate roll at PIMCO on their mortgage backed securities team? I’m looking at an offer and want make sure I’m in line with the average comp for the company and industry. Only 4 months of experience and offer is 98k w/ 10-20% bonus plus 15k relo/ sign on. Looking at Glassdoor, bonuses seem higher than quoted by the hiring manager. (No written offer yet they say they’re still working on it)

Not me. Personally, I believe you should enjoy while you are young and still be comfortable when you are old. It’s OK to retire with $5 million and live the life you wanna live now rather than save for $15 million and eat Ramen noodles every night with no vacation aboard. IMO of course. Everyone is different.
there is a bowl
Definitely check out the bowl for it. It's fairly active and I've learned quite a bit there.
No. I like to eat out every once in a while
It’s unlikely you’re too old for it.
Setting a plan to retire before 65 is something many people can do.

As much as I want to pursue this, I'm not sure if it's necessarily worth it. I know there are different levels of fire. I'm okay at the moment... I started saving two years ago and have over 125k+ saved up at 28 which is somewhat behind for most people on FIRE.
My job doesnt feeel like a job sometimes. I live a fairly decent life. I can travel a good amount -- right now traveling every other month on the weekends and that seems to work for me.
It's easy to do ... it almost feels like volunteer work. I also really like interacting with the people I work alongside with.
