Frankly I've become a partisan hack for good governance and intelligent managerialism. On net dems are slightly more competent than maga republicans but the Johnsons of the world bring down blue iq so far that it's a real contest.
Ultimately the american people elect representatives that reflect themselves. This is to say that we are not intelligent nor do we desire or deserve intelligent governance and reasonable policy.
He has no idea how to do politics and became a lame duck essentially in year 1. His policy for the city has consistently been kicking the can further down the road, and he refuses the address the top issues of why americans hate socialist run cities in the first place which is a disaster for national democrats: Public Safety.
For some reason people find it unethical and abhorrent to be TRUTHFUL about Public safety. Having vagrants and drug addicts attack your taxpayers in the streets is profoundly unhelpful. Detroit's downtown is now objectively safer than Chicago. I have been lunged at, assaulted and nearly had my phone stolen at least 3 times since I moved here, my car broken into once and my friend almost shoved on to the tracks of the blue line. In New York City the NYPD will make quick work of most vagrants and other such undesirables and take them to an island so as to keep the public safe.
Here? Oh well just let them do whatever!

The teen takeover nonsense? Totally unenforced. Curfews are a joke. Not to mention the 30,000 dollar haircut trips.
Ever almost been hit by a car? Me too! When I found out the police just don't care and nobody ever gets caught for anything I understood why nobody cares. The crime clearance rates in this city are some of the worst on the continent.
His budget was a meme. His education plan is to just take another massive unsecured loan. Like wtf are we doing man.
I do not particularly like Mamdani in NYC, but I can respect that he is a more competent administrator even if his policies are on net bad-right?
Brandon Johnson is the worst of both worlds. This city desperately needs a boring suit and bean counter for like the next 20 years until the pension crisis is resolved. As the population declines or stagnates the workforce for the city grows and its pension obligations get worse. How?????
