Lou Malnatis….so much more layers and tastes great. Pequods just feels like a lot of bread and doughy 👎
How about this. Like this comment if you're a real Chicagoan and eat tavern style exclusively.
For real, If a tavern cut pizza isn’t in a nearly translucent paper bag, is it even tavern cut?
I’m kidding, it’s pizza. Grow the f up.
Chicago deep dish pizza sucks. Jets (Detroit-style) for life
Listen, there's a time for focaccia. Normal pizza eating ain't it.
Pequods, end of discussion. Lou is for the suburb folk and out of towners.
Came to say this^^^
Also, Burt is no longer with us, but the new owners of Burt’s place is doing him justice!
Peaquads = high or drunk
Lous = showing a tourist around
A&M ok, fine. Lous = tourist, suburnite, or some "lifelong city boy."

Sophie’s choice
The “smart” choice is Art of Pizza. (I’ve never had Pequod’s and I don’t like Lou Malnati’s sauce.)
Art of Pizza is the 🐐
Rising Star
Come on 🐠. take a stand for Lou’s! 🍕
Pequods is better but only hot out of the oven. Does not reheat well. Either way, those are my #1 and #2 for deep dish. Tavern style there are many others I would order first.
Star for “Deep Dish is Trash”
Comment “Star for Deep Dish is Trash” for a one way ticket out of Chicago.
Detroit style (Jets / Buddy’s) than everything
Bartolis 🤌
Best sauce in Chicago.
Damn consider giordanos. It’s a classic
Please don’t.
Aurelio’s.
Several locations throughout the area, but go to Homewood sometime and experience the mothership.
I’ve never understood the love for Pequods. It’s not bad pizza but I’m a Malnati’s fan for deep dish. Sausage or the spinach version without the sliced tomato on top. Tavern style is good for thin crust.
Life contains multitudes. For a weekly pizza, La villa (or your local place) for a tavern cut pizza. For a special occasion, we split between Lou’s deep dish and their thin crust. (Tip: the deep dish freezes pretty well!)
I take out of towners to Pequods because I just love their pan style pizza. I don’t even talk ‘chicago pizza’.
For real chicago food (if I must), Italian beef sandwiches at Johnnies in Elmwood Park.
Pequods only for their caramlized crust deep dish.. Lou’s for everything else
👍 😂
Pequods: caramelized crust. Read as “burnt”
