Dear Fishes, I am in a conundrum currently. I have two offers. One from Deloitte USI (17.5 LPA fixed, 1.75 LPA variable and 1.5 L joining bonus). The other is from Infosys (25 LPA CTC. Permanent WFH. Negotiation is still on for this.)
Could you please be so kind as to help me decide which one to choose?
Thanks in advance,
Fellow Perplexed Fish.

Take the free ORD train to the rental car center (MMF) and take an Uber from there. Much cheaper than taking an Uber from the airport terminals
Today is your chance to change leadership in the city. If you are worried about crime stop voting for the same people.
Lori lightfoot is not a cop. Not sure what you're smoking. She's a former partner at Mayer Brown.
You can do it but I would be extra attentive. Would say absolutely not if you were a F.
No i haven’t gone that late. But Ubers are usually pretty cheap at that time from the airport
Some of those cabs are sketch
I’ve done it loads, usually it’s full of other travels so you won’t be targeted
Wouldn’t say the risk is worth it to save some bucks.
Never safe no matter the time of day.

Don’t worry though. They have rent-a-cops at a few stations who just sit there on their phones. So they’ll call 911 if something bad happens.
Past 11 is a no fly zone.
Check out Crime in Wrigleyville and Boystown blog. Blue line has incidents. But I’ll never take the Red line anymore. Something happening all the time, all over the city on that line.
Agreed about the commenters on their Twitter account. But their reporting has been so in-depth that the Chicago TV news channels are literally using their reporting as the Chicago TV news channels apparently don’t know how to report and investigate themselves anymore.
Thanks all. I might just drive and do remote economy parking.
The Blue Line gets a bit sketchy late at night since it runs 24 hours and becomes a homeless shelter on rails

And you’ll see people moving weight. Almost more gangsters than homeless on there these days.
Don’t.
If Ubers have a surge rate, take a taxi from the airport. It’s usually about $50 to the city.
Also much much easier/faster than Uber at Ohare. At least I have found it to be
Lmao it’s not a big deal. These commenters are being silly
Blue Line beyond Logan/Belmont is always a bit dicey, but it gets worse so late night and very early morning. That said, your odds of being assaulted on the Blue Line any time of day are extremely low. You’ll hear about every assault that occurs in the news, but you’ll never hear about all of the people who have never been, and never will be assaulted.
Stay vigilant, keep your wits about you, sit in the front car near the conductor when the trains are empty, and the risk of something actually dangerous happening to you are slim to none. Can’t say you won’t see some unpleasant, awkward, or extremely uncomfortable stuff, because odds are sooner or later you will. But that’s true of any public transit system in any city. Munich has one of the best and safest public transit systems in the world, and some of the shit I’ve seen there easily rivals what I’ve seen on the CTA.
I feel like most of these people either travel for work and uber is always an option or dont travel and rarely take blue line.
Used to do it all the time in college
There will be taxis waiting at the airport that cost ~$50 all in to downtown
I’ve done it but I always sit in the cabin with the train conductor. If I’m getting in some shit they are too.

Maybe 5 years ago. Way too sketchy these days.
