Every major producer is already working on these initiatives!
If local grains interest you, check our Frey Ranch - their family has been grain farmers in Nevada for over 100 years and they are "farm to bottle" whiskey. Their cask strength stuff in particular is really nice.
One of the few spots that'll experiment with 100% of a certain grain.
Doubt sustainability becomes a focus. Use of local grains is growing , particularly for craft distilleries. Leads to some unique profiles which is cool.

In Scotland grains have to be from Scotland to be called scotch.
And there already is a MacAllan with sustainable packaging.
Several distilleries have started selling bottles “naked” without the tubes or boxes as well
Nc’Nean is good example in Scotland, B Corp, net-zero and recycled packaging. They also happen to make decent whisky. I think it’s helped them compete against traditional brands especially appealing to the younger whisky fans.
