Yep this is me. I think maybe I can retire early and just travel when I’m older but would be just as happy settling down somewhere quiet and beautiful. I feel like the world repeats itself enough that I’m not missing out hugely.
Wonder if anyone disagrees with me and has a different perspective!
A2 point - don’t wait to love your life. You don’t know if you’ll get there! Plus when you’re older your more rigid and less likely to do the more adventurous and off the beaten path stuff that you would go when you’re younger
Where have you traveled to so far OP? I personally think the more you travel the more you crave the cultural experiences
Nationally I've been all over the West and Central US. Globally I've been to Jamaica and Europe once each. I'd do Jamaica again solely for the all-inclusives, and I enjoy driving a state or two over for camping, hunting or fishing. But something like just traveling to New York, London, Tokyo without any motive other than just to see around doesn't sound fun to me
Well I dont think you have to worry about this provlem anymore
This is just to offer some perspective but traveling really opened my eyes and I think it has made me a better person. It really let me become more empathetic towards others and also understand other people’s journeys and experiences. It also depends on what you do when you travel. If you just go to clubs then you can do that at home .
I enjoy traveling to national parks and being far out in nature. Did the whole traveling to Instagram popular destinations with an ex and found it was not for me..
It’s a perspective thing. You only get it if you let go of your day to day life when you do it, I don’t think a week vacation is quite what people mean.
Let go of the routine and responsibilities, and do each of the three:
1) embrace other cultures and people regardless of background. Doing this is uncomfortable, but it’s about well rounded personal growth. Do it because it’s hard, even if you might not want to.
2) see nature around the world. It varies greatly and the more you see the more you appreciate the true magnitude and scope of diversity. I promise some places are like being in the most spectacular movie you’ve ever seen.
3) party! If you’re someone who doesn’t like going out in the US, you’re in for a welcome surprise on how much fun going out can be in other countries. They all do it differently and there’s a scene for everyone. It’s not just drinking and loud music. It’s beach bonfires, (real) dancing, national celebrations, penthouse clubs, etc etc

I like to travel but not to super exotic places, as an American, Europe and the Caribbean are good for me lol. I’ve been to more foreign places but just feel more uncomfortable than what it’s worth, perhaps because im a POC and there’s only a certain level of racism I’m down to deal with. Home is home and there’s no better place
Word

Traveling really does broaden your perspective. Meeting different cultures with different priorities and traditions helps you either appreciate yours or change yours to something that’s better. It also helps you put your life in perspective and you learn a bunch about history. Whenever I travel I go through some intense introspective moments about my life. I love traveling and wish I could do it more. Can’t imagine my life without seeing the world and it’s killing me not being able to go anywhere right now.
We are all assuming that you are from the USA. It's only people frol with USA with this attitude towards international travel.
