I feel like I'm doing everything right, but my research is not getting the attention it deserves.

I've submitted papers to all the right journals, gone to all the right conferences, and published on all the right topics. Yet no one seems to care—no one's citing my work!

How do I get people to pay attention?

Graduated with a degree in managerial science and minor in marketing and a sales certificate from a very prestigious business program in GA. Have had 4 different management positions in the past. I’m currently working for a small technical consulting start-up firm. I make good money, have great benefits, and they seem very happy with the work I’m doing, so I know I could move up quickly. However, tech consulting is definitely not my dream job. I want to get into data analytics, and I have an offer from a big company to do just that. I’ve only been at my current company for about 8 months, but I don’t ever see myself loving this job. How do I know when it’s time to make a change?

i tend to assume things are self explanatory or simple that it does not require discussion. finding out what I think is simple is not for others. any tips for when to open up a lengthier discussion?

What is your work day like as a manager? I recently made the transition from being an individual contributor to a team manager and I feel that I have time at hand that I'm not using wisely. My day includes giving directions to the team, reviewing their output, aligning plan & work with seniors and clients. In between these activities, when I have time to myself, I sometimes read up on related topics. Is there anything else I should be doing to make effective use of time?

One of my friend who is a doctor & is an international med graduate. He passed his United States Medical Licensing Exams with above average scores. He has applied fr the match last yr & was nt able to match. Match process costs around USD10k; this year he is applying again after borrowing funds frm different sources bt he is under tremendous pressure to get match. I feel his pain as he has studied for 10+ yrs and is struggling to match nw. I m nt sure hw I can help
