At that price point, Uniqlo Airsense Blazer. Can also try to thrift something.
At that price point, your cost per wear will actually be more expensive that buying more expensive items. The only way to really get anything decent sub $400 is thrift or vintage. Even then, what you find will likely require some tailoring to be good.
There's a reason you hear people recommend Suit Supply over and over on this forum. At $400-500 a pop, you can get a sport coat or blazer that will last 20 years.
Check out the vintage or used shops and then take it to get cleaned and tailored.
Just make sure the shoulders aren't very padded/stiff.
I'll leave the buying place recs to others
My entire collection of suit and sports coats have been bought s Conan’s over the last 20+ years. Easier for me because I’m a 38R and know all my measurements. I have mostly custom made, quite a few vintage, plus Brioni, etc. and I don’t think I’ve ever spent more than $240. You have to be patient and know what you want.
