@OP, Another possible reason is lot of people in that age-range does not have any specific hobby(ies), so there is no meaningful avenue for them to spend their free time instead of the endless rounds of meet ups and drinking sessions. Whatever people get the most joy out of, that’s what they strive towards doing again and again!

Lol - agree. Recently moved to Dallas (Frisco) area and amazed at the energy and enthusiasm to drink each weekend. And folks with kids in high-school / college acting as if they are 30.

Lol - not the last time I checked.
Chances are that those Desi folks got married in early 20s and could not enjoy their party years. Now that their kids are grown up, they are free to party again.
or didn’t have the means to party. LOL
I remember from 90’s when it was hard to party with no studs allowed rules at clubs and bars back in India
I think that’s a good thing, not everyone has that much enthusiasm left .
Lot of people are left without any good friends after spending years taking care of kids and then kids gets busy in their life and you have no one.
If they are enjoying, then let them do it while it lasts.
Deprivation is the secret 😀

They've gone through the rough years when kids are under 7/8, and there lives are now much more put together.

I'm just about there - I can see light at the end of the tunnel!
Maybe they don't have worries of GC and immigration on them. They may be in a different state physiologically.
