I was wondering if anybody on here has warned their replacement to basically run and not take the job?? I’m leaving my job next Friday due to a toxic boss that was hired three years ago. I have a week and a half to train my replacement who I really happen to like and I really feel like I need to warn her not to put down roots. I know I shouldn’t even be concerning myself with this, but I’m feeling a lot of guilt not telling her the real reason I’m leaving-has anyone done this?

Not the results I was hoping for this morning. Went for my first appointment before starting injections this evening. Only 9 follicles. Was told birth control can suppress some so they may just not be visible yet but feeling very panicked now despite the doctor saying it was ok for my age.

This journey is taxing.

One of my out of state REs is suggesting that birth control for three weeks before having starting a cycle. I consulted with another RE previously and he noted that he doesn’t recommend birth control for too long when planning an ivf cycle since it can impact response to fertility medication. Does this sound right ?

Anyone in DC or Maryland have a good doctor for PCOS?

Anyone successfully take STD or extended long term disability for final IVF procedure? I’d like to take 6 months, Destress before hand then go into extraction. Docs say if this doesn’t work they recommend I move onto other options so I want to give it a fair shot. My clinic will fill out fMLA / medical forms but not sure who ultimately decides the duration. Should I also consider other mental health leave alternatives? Thank you!

Any advice on how to improve embryo growth drop off rate? Just finished our second retrieval and I’m frustrated by how many dont make it to blastocysts. We have good fertilization rate through ICSI. Is it normal for about 25% of fertilized eggs to make it to day 6/7? Husband has low count & motility and i have endo, both 33

How many 3 day embryos to transfer ? My re wants to transfer only 2.

At the donor egg phase and just not dealing with it well. Having all kinds of regrets if I tried hard enough. Maybe should have ate better, tried all these different things. Did I do IVF too quickly? Some say IVF makes your eggs worse. Is this true???

I’m ready for my embryo transfer! Date is set for next week! Very excited!! After being canceled due to COVID I was sure something else would be wrong.

I feel so bad. Almost 30..pcos/no ovulation/high testost/anovulatory/cysts. Lean but unhealthy. I’m talking low iron (14 I found out today),low all vitamins, prediabetic..phew! Taking metformin and progesterone to start my period again 🤓 It’s no wonder I’m not under the earth but self-care is so important. Hoping for 👶🏽 results with my RE once she helps me get my act together 🥺

Is it crazy to switch a job while undergoing IVF?
I’ve been in my current role for almost 4 years. While I am generally happy, & have flexibility with time off for personal matters, there are things that bother me. I have an offer for way more money, manager title (which I want), much larger bonus & IVF benefit is better. However, I’m in the middle of stims and it is STRESSFUL. Part of me can’t imagine taking on a new role while I’m in the middle of this. But also feel like I can’t pass it up

For those who have researched these things at length / spoken to doctors: if I’ve had children in the past and have had a chemical pregnancy recently, is there any point to sending my husband for a sperm analysis? E.g., his swimmers hypothetically must be at least kind of working?

We recently started the fertilization process with frozen eggs. I had 11 frozen and all survived the thaw but only 3 turned into embryos. We are waiting to see how many get to the blast state. Does any one know where I can find statistics on what the typical attrition / success rates are?

Day 4 stims. Many of the follicles are super small but one is 12.4. They are adjusting my protocol but didn’t tell me much more than that - any sense of whether that’s normal or something to be concerned about? TIA!

To do an ERA or not before transfer is the question. My clinic said currently the recommendation is to only do an ERA with multiple transfer fails, but I’ve read about ERA’s for those with recurrent pregnancy loss as well. Anyone go through this experience?

Anyone else dread baby showers? I don’t want to go to my friends baby shower just because of the social aspect of it. Dreading the side conversations that I may have.
