Hmmm I really dislike complicated scheduling. So every 20 days you get a NEW set of students? Or same students, just different schedule? One way to do it is to sit down and count exactly how many times you see a class. That will help you plan better and not take on a project you won’t have time for. You are breaking it down. You see Mrs. Smith’s 5th grade class for a total of 6 hours during the 20 days. Then chunk them with another class that is similar. You might notice a class always gets the short end of the stick and has a lot less time with you. So plan accordingly. I use planbook.com and it works for setting up a 3 day rotation but I don’t know about 20 days.
That does sound crazy!
I cannot offer much help on a rotation that big; but I find an at a glance plan for the whole year is really useful in general. Mine is just set up in a Google sheet. One axis is grade levels the other is #classes per quarter. Then I combine cells as needed for lessons that will take more than one class period and just write the title/few descriptive words. It won't help with day to day organization but it is great when one class gets way ahead of what you expected at a glance and know what topics you planned to cover next. I print it out and tape it to the inside cover of my planner so I can cross things off as the year goes by.
