I am reaching out to you all and am looking forward to break into Investment Banking from Consulting. Applied to Goldman Sachs via a referral but my resume is stuck after HireVue. Talked to the VO who referred me and he said Goldman doesn’t hire in Q4. If that’s true and still need to be in GS, can someone forward my resume directly to the team? Their career portal sucks. TIA Goldman Sachs PS: I promise a dinner in a dance place in NY after I get hired as a sign of my gratitude 🙈

Try to give yourself grace. I teach in the district my kids are in. As a parent, I understand that specials classes need to be simplified, edited, and in turn you are right- kids probably aren’t getting what they usually get from you. But it’s OK! This is temporary, we will all be back in person eventually. Just keep showing your love for the kids and passion for art, and that is more important than becoming a tech wizard. And I’m sure parents appreciate the specials courses not being too complex or demanding. I guess a lot of that depends on what your admin expect you to require from your kids. I have short live zoom lessons and video tutorials for my kids every week, but never require assignment turn ins (instead they are keeping portfolios at home). For assessments, they will fill out a google form once a unit (about monthly). If a student doesn’t fill these out, I just say they are “exempt”. Keep it simple.
So I guess what I’m trying to say is be proud of what you are doing. But if there are extra technology things that are tripping you up (such as making the perfect bitmoji room), forget them! And GIVE YOURSELF GRACE! We got this!!!
