How's everyone doing with back to school and mental health? I'm too stubborn to break, but UUUGHHHH! Work is absolute hell with no relief in sight (but I'm glad to have a job!) & my child is starting a new school (in-person). So many emails and orientations, it's like being a lost kindergarten parent all over again! Plus a "mother's council" Zoom mtg @ 930 on a Thu AM?! Already super stressed & overwhelmed. Also lying about about not breaking, just haven't hit the wall of tears quite yet. Sigh.

Which tax regime to choose? I’m planning to opt for Life insurance of 81k per annum. I may also take a home loan in the future. Which regime would be suitable for me and what are the steps that I can make to reduce my taxes and get max benefits. This is the first time I’m falling under taxable income slab. So, I’m little confused about these things. Help please. Thanks.

Hi all. I am licensed in life, accident and health and am looking for new opportunities. I’ve been working in employee benefits in a small brokerage firm on a book of business of over 400 clients, I’m the only account manager. We’ve had 100% employer retention since I’ve been here. I am a high performer, but not sure I’m valued much at all . I want to reach the top and become partner in my career ; this is why I went to work for a small firm. My boss favors others when I do the most work!!

Has anyone worked for advent health?

What is the Medical Insurance amount provided by the DTICI? And for this, premium will be deducted in the monthly pay? Or it'll be taken care of by the employer itself? Any info regarding health insurance is not provided in the offer letter. So, I'm willing to know about this.
Would anyone please clarify this query.

Hello, new to Fishbowl! Here to see if anyone can push me in the right direction… basically been a pharmacy tech for the last 15 years. Started from the very bottom of retail to now specialty. Currently at around 80k. Really wanting to do more, but not sure where. Ultimately, 6figures would be nice and in healthcare. Debating on going back to school, again, not really sure for what since I don’t have an end goal, besides 6figures/healthcare. Ideas?

I’m so tired of having to spend time with my in laws. Background: when I met my spouse, we lived near my family but we moved for a new job and didn’t live near either family for 3.5 years. We moved again about a year ago and now live 1 hour from his parents. With the pandemic, they are one of two households we’ve exposed ourselves to so we’ve seen them a lot and spent Thanksgiving and Christmas with them. Now they want to celebrate my birthday and I just can’t. 😩 (PS I know I sound ungrateful)

I have been an adjuster for almost 5 years, although I have loved almost all of my time adjusting and find it fun, in a sense, I am so ready to take my skills into underwriting. Does anyone have any tips for transitioning from adjusting to underwriting? I know this will sound cliche but I find myself to be very passionate about insurance and I do well when interviewed, but it is difficult to get a response for underwriting applications because they all “require” underwriting experience.
