Apathy isn't the right word but I just kind of feel numb about everything and I think being sober would maybe help.

Hello! Looking at an opportunity with established startup in UK that's just been acquired by a large co. I'm US based and my salary is around $250k (NYC) -I've been asked my expectation without the startup giving me a range to work from (though I've asked). I'm not sure how to reply to them because I have a feeling that my requirement may be out of their range and while I don't want to undercut my value, I also don't want to be cut out of the process because it's an interesting co. We started back in August in distance learning mode, core subjects only. So no STEM classes. One of our 8th grade teachers was out on maternity leave, so I was asked to take that spot for the first semester. I was a long time 5th grade teacher, so not a difficult adjustment, except for learning new to me digital curriculum.

I have 2 STEM classes for the second quarter. Still online, so my focus is on coding.
