The landlord insists that since I didn't notify her 2 to 3 months before my rent anniversary I should pay until October even if I'm already out by July. I've always had in mind his reminder to advice him 2 to 3 months before change of plans but he said what he really meant was 2 to 3 months before rent anniversary. That's why he said he will require me to pay until October. I didn't really mean to surprise the landlord like this but figured that it was an informal contract and I've honored a year and still gave 2 to 3 months notice so I figured it wasn't a yearly commitment. I'd very much need the money when I move with prices rising and paying for my rent. What's the best to do here?
