Recent lateral junior associate in brand new practice where I'm the only associate. I'm probably going to bill 1,500 hours max this year due to being very slow and taking time off for a delayed honeymoon which I disclosed during my interview process. Interviewing question: for anecdotal “tell me abt a time when..”, & similar questions - are you allowed to recycle stories from your undergrad years or do they only look for post grad/work stuff? Afraid some of the stories that sounded okay at undergrad recruiting might now come across as a bit “lightweight” in this context...like would they eye roll if we start talking about that one time we did a science competition sophomore year of college (even though it taught an important lesson)..etc.🤔
