Are UK managers or people too workaholic and too busy? Do UK people have Thanksgiving Holidays for Nov month? Do they chill? I am asking all this because I am into a new project and here the team is very workaholic and they are working for nearly 12hrs per day on daily basis. I am afraid of this work culture here. Even one of the Chinese teammates is also a workaholic. Not helping me even in KT.

I’ve been at a job for a few months and hate it - partners set unrealistic deadlines, micromanage, and create work that truly is not necessary/push urgency when there is no real urgency. I had other offers prior to accepting this job that may still be options, and going back to my old job (for a pay cut) might also be an option. I can’t tell if this is just burnout, growing pains, or just an untenable work environment. Would you ride it out for a year at new job or pursue other options? HELP!

Im a RN and took on a new role working in Home Health. I chose this position because My husband & I recently moved to PA with our 2 kids (1&3), with no family available for his residency program with a hospital. If you know that life, I’m pretty much the main parent for our kids. I don’t want to work in the hospital/floor work anymore; nor do I believe the hrs are flexible enough. I need a job that’s flexible for the kids but pays >$44/hr. Maybe remote or hybrid? Please help w/ suggestions.

In one interview today with Kundyl. Their expectation is to be available oncall 24*7... With work from office.

They literally got offended and stared at me for asking about WLB...

Seems companies are not learning, even after the great resignations.. the big names... Like TCS, ibm.. are not doing any changes to their work culture and ethics to improve WLB.

Female 27..yoe 6 mostly in mngmnt.Couple of months back i switched into technical line all by self study,no real world expsure.Luckily i was able to clear interviews but now i feel like that am stuck..nt able to grasp technical wrk really well, although i am holding industry experience still feeling like fresher knowing literally nothing(am fresher in this line though but still...) Everyday i get up &sleep with work anxiety I wana give up but dont know what to do. Am i being impatient?

Hello, I am in USI GES tax at DUSI. I love my job but not my team and mgmt anymore. I'm a performer and I'm dumped with work of 2 ppl while others are searching for work. I am burned out.

I resigned and accepted a job with EY GDS with a huge pay bump that DUSI can't match but I also gave up my potential promotion for 2023.

I've been feeling bad about putting my papers down and letting go off my promotion but I am really tired. I took up this job as an escape.

Did i do the right thing?

Hey guys. Here’s my question… is getting a MBA worth it without a sponsor? It will only take me 1 additional year after my undergrad and about 15k. The career i want it in real estate acquisition and the competition is crazy so I think an MBA will make me more appealing on paper, getting me an interview and allowing me to showcase my expertise. Any advice would be appreciated because I’m going into my senior year this fall and have another year to think about it.

Lets us discuss why Indian companies expects/forces/ us to work more than 9 hours but in timesheet we have to fill 8.
Managers schedule meeting after office hours and expects us to be available always.

Sorry to say this but I have seen only Indians who work extra hours. What's even funny is that the upper management laugh at foreigners who work exactly 8hours.

Should we not change our mentality?
