We have an AI bot that does the initial scanning of resumes. I’m not sure how good it is. I usually go back over and scan the resumes with my own eyes.

AI is a tool. I use it lightly, but I decide the final judgement myself.
We don't really use any AI tools, no. I work for a small company and I'm the only HR person, but we don't have the kind of volume that prevents me from screening everybody manually.

My best advice is start using it for small things. I use Copolit at work to polish up emails that I'm sending to my superiors as it helps with tone. I use it to write my orientation reminder text messages I send to my new hires. I have found it helpful for more administrative tasks at this point. Most companies have not gone full blown AI but this step will help you to start understanding the benefits of AI. You can ask it to draft simple things like offer letters, policy updates, making flyers. I tend to prefer to have someone review my draft I dont need a person anymore AI can do it for me. Now don't get me wrong in no way is AI perfect it makes mistakes and you should absolutely proof read it as they even put it in its response its only as good as the information it has access to.
