As a Clinical Medical Assistant, we do a lot. And the pay doesn't show it. I am like my doctors right hand. We have an LPN and a RN in the office, who does the exact same thing I do. None of us do anything different. I always wondered why wouldn't we just make MA's LPN's.? And get the LPN pay without having to go through extra schooling. I know the answer, I'm just venting.

It is frustrating because a lot of the differences between the different positions feel like paperwork, not reality. I'm definitely right there with you. For the kind of work I do compared to others, I feel like I should be making a lot more money.

I understand where you are coming from, but across the board, there are a lot of reasons why it doesn’t work like that. Absolutely agree there should be a clearer scope for how different the pay is between the titles.

The license unfortunately gets the pay. Not right, but that's the case. I hear you and you are right.

There’s a reason. Earning a License gives extra pay because you gained the knowledge to do the job. If you are doing the same job of a licensed coworker than you are working out of scope of practice. This is wromg. The phrase” you don’t know what you don’t know” fits.

It’s frustrating when hard work isn’t reflected in pay. You do so much for the team.

What are some good east coast cities to buy an investment property in? For those of you who have done this before, what's better for a first time buyer/investor - commercial or residential?

Based in NYC but looking to buy outside the city. Something that's 400-500k and has good rental potential. Thank you.
