Yes. I would wait. I was forced to tell my employer earlier than anticipated because of pregnancy complications. I ended up telling them when I was 4 months. Also, I was very small so I could have waited even longer.
I am high risk as well. I told my female managing partner at 4 weeks for the exact reason you stated. She has been very supportive because I’ve had doctor apts each week. Currently 10 weeks

Congrats!! My last pregnancy I decided to disclose the day after pulling an all-nighter because I needed my team to know that I couldn’t do that anymore (raises my heart rate etc). So if you’re in that type of situation, I recommend disclosing early but if not, it’s best to wait.
