Cleared Accenture Skill interview by answering almost all the questions and received congratulatory mail for HR round and submitting all documents. Then after a week received a call from HR saying that due to some technical issue, the skills round will happen again and an online assessment was set up. In the assessment, questions which were not directly related to the profile were asked and then a rejection mail was received. Does this happen a lot?

When some money is better than no money.
When you run out of options. I can only take so many rejections, and so yes, the first offer I get, I am taking it. I am almost 60 and suffering from serious age discrimination in hiring. I don't tell them my age, but when you have 35 years worth of job history, it's not hard to figure out.
As soon as you know you are being laid off

When unemployment runs out and you need to pay your bills 😅
It’s not an easy decision to make especially if you’ve been in an industry for many years and you were laid off unexpectedly. Even with the package they offered, Once that financial nest egg that you had saved, starts getting lower and lower and unemployment benefits are getting closer to the end that’s when I had to make the decision to find a job that could help me take care of bills help me take care of my student loans credit card bills. Obviously it took a while for this point for me to reach this point, but that’s my story. But you also need to be clear and understand that it’s OK if you take a job that’s just going to help you pay for bills it’s not going to be the job you do for the rest of your life it’s just the job that’s going to help support you until you find something better, once I had that clear, it made the decision easier for me.
It’s a very personal threshold. It depends on what is important, your pain tolerance and many other factors. My personal tolerance is the same as Developer SRE1. When I know that my savings won’t take me through this without long term pain, w will accept the first available job
I was in my industry/role since 2010 (SaaS Sales Engineer), I just got laid off for the first time in my life this January 15th. I have applied at over 140+ companies and had like 6 interviews with no selection...
I finally took a chance on an opportunity with Home Improvement sales based commission. The company is reputable with 30 yrs in business and they will pay training and give me leads. I am giving this a chance as there is good potential for making good money from what I have researched... Anywho, I accepted the offer on March 15th, making it 2 months exactly since my layoff - training starts April 15th. So that was my personal experience and breaking point.

Deciding when to stop searching for the ideal job and settle for what's available depends on your financial situation, career goals, and the job market. If financial stability is urgent, consider taking any job for immediate income. Otherwise, weigh whether the job aligns with your long-term career objectives and offers opportunities for growth. Stay flexible and open to unexpected opportunities while balancing job satisfaction with meeting immediate needs.
