Absolutely not. In my experience, this is a sign of what it’s like to work with this person. Keep searching. Most likely you’ll find someone you like even more.

I wouldn't follow up. If the candidate wants the job, they will respond
How many interviews do you hold before reaching a “final”?
I’ve been in this situation more than once, and it’s always a tricky call. Emergencies happen and empathy is critical, but timely and enthusiastic communication reflects professionalism. Since you haven’t yet found another candidate you feel strongly about, I’d send one final, brief follow-up to show you’re open to reconnecting, but I wouldn’t pursue further after that. If the candidate responds and provides a genuine explanation, you can reassess.
Yeah, that's not a great sign. But at the same time, life does happen. I would give them one final chance and then move on if they no-showed again. But I tend to be pretty forgiving for the right candidates.
Go with your gut!
