All-wheel drive for snow.
Reliable and capable of outdoor storage.
Versatile utility factor with some fun to drive.

Fun, outdoor-ready styling.
Easy to maintain and has great aftermarket options.
4. Volkswagen GTI (2011–2014 Mk6)

Compact but full of personality.
5. Toyota 4Runner (2004–2009)

Older models in this range still have life left.

Just the cool factor of cars that aren’t readily available, to me. Better maintenance on euro BMWs in some cases.
Fairly easy to hotwire but limited benefit/demand as a thief.
I read this and I think about the first gen BRZ/FRS/GT86. With a set of winter tires it’ll work great in snow.
Then next best option may be 9th gen Civic Si, reliable and unassuming, still decently fun.
