Sony MDR-1000X, master race

Had the Sonys, traded them in for the Bose 35s. The sound was a bit better for the Sonys but they were way less comfortable and the functionality was awful. The "touch controls" were almost unusable when trying to pause or adjust volume. You also can't sync more then one device at a time, so you have to re pair if you have say an iPad and Phone.

Have 30s. Love the convenience of Bluetooth and battery life is long enough that I don't miss the ability to play music without power. Pretty annoying to use with computer though (have to re-pair everyday). Adjustable NC is great for transit commute (max cancellation in train, off when walking streets).

@BCG1 Download the app for Bose. You can control which device you want to connect or disconnect.

Neither are in ear. Own both, use the QC30s way more than the QC20s... wireless makes all the difference

Have QC35 and wife has MDR-1000X . Bose is more comfortable. Sony has better sound and cool features.

Boss soundsport wireless are solid too, then you'll also have a pair of workout headphones

Gf has the Bose and I have the Sony's.
Agree that the Bose is more comfortable and the Sony's have better sound quality and features, but PWC saying that the touch controls are impossible to use is naive. They're extremely easy to use and have worked without error since I bought my headset it February.

Also agree that not being able to sync with multiple bluetooth units does kinda suck though.

Naive probably not the right word, but it's possible my set was faulty? Because no way are those touch controls even half as responsive as physical buttons.

That's not the issue D1. Have the app and easily switch between phone and iPad. Can even connect to 2 devices at once. Staying paired with most PC laptops is a huge pain and known issue by Bose, Lenovo, Microsoft, our IT dept. You have to re-pair and restart services daily, or more frequently.

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.
