Brands reversing course on diversity “is leaving multicultural and diverse-owned agencies grappling with the fallout.” What changes are you seeing in multicultural shops? I’ve seen the Hispanic market ones mostly disappear, for instance (as “General Market” shops simply translate ads), and it feels like the end of an era.

That’s a great title for the piece. But yea as companies push back against DEI, agencies were also going to suffer. I try to make it a point to highlight agencies that have diverse teams when we are looking for support, but I’ve become a lone voice in the call. It’s unfortunate. I haven’t seen any real push for major orgs to grow diversity in their teams and TBH, I haven’t seen much work from smaller, multicultural agencies in the last two years.
