Expecting an offer this week or early next week, but want to know when you start negotiating the salary? When you receive the call from the company or wait until receiving the formal offer letter? And how should the negotiation start? Through phone calls or emails? Didn’t use recruiter for this position, so I don’t know what is the process here.

Is it true for Assoc 602 level who hasn't completed one year, can't have S. My managers(functional and local) gave this reason for my OOO?

I feel left out in my firm. How do I make 'friends' with my colleagues? I've been here for a year. I am naturally not a very out going person, was never 'cool' and I struggle to speak in group situations / make engaging conversation with higher ups. We're not sure what those incentives look like yet, but here are some post-announcement rumors from my co-workers:

I’m a big law attorney and thinking about getting my real estate license (brother is thinking about the same thing, so we’re thinking to go into some RE investing together). Thoughts? I know my firm wouldn’t ever let me actually represent someone as an RE agent, so then I’m wondering if there’s really any value to me getting a license?

This is twice now in back to back weeks my boss has asked me where the disconnect was in our communications because I didn’t deliver on what “was asked”, even though I know damn well what was asked and what was done were the same thing. I’m not sure if he’s changing the meaning or isn’t communicating what he’s envisioning or what but it’s embarrassing to be called out like that, and to have people think you’re the dumb 23 year old.

FORM50 fitness? Anyone familiar with them? Looks kind of like power Pilates. They only have a New York (Astoria) studio and a Miami studio. Seems like most of the classes are mostly women, and hot pink themes all around. 🏳️‍⚧️🙋🏻‍♀️ and on hrt for about 18 months, so not presenting full time yet. Whether I present female or male, it’s not an environment I’m likely to pass super well in so wondering about how lgbt welcoming it will be. Also if the workout is as lit as people seem to represent.

Do you feel explicitly femme / butch / futch / stud ? I feel like I’m not femme or butch and I’d be more butch personality wise in a relationship but definitely more of a futch / soft butch physically? Originally from Italy, I've been out to anyone at my former jobs in Europe without ever worrying about the reactions of my coworkers. Now I'm Asia and just started a new job, but one of my colleagues (also an expat) made a very weird statement about gay people having more chances of developing cancers (?!?!?), so I feel a bit skeptical about talking about my private life... The problem is that anybody else seems to be so welcoming and open-minded, except for this one guy. Any advices?
