Hello! Will be receiving a $400 stipend from my new org for office setup. I currently have a 15” 2015 Pro, my husband has a Lenovo, I’ll be provided with a work laptop, we have a used office desk.

Any recommendations on what I should use the stipend for? Hubby was suggesting a printer because we don’t currently have one, but I feel like I don’t really print that much anymore and I’ll be working remotely.

My company went toxic in the last couple months. Chose me and started interviewing. Had a very successful interview with Amazon but recruiter is working hard trying to place me and said there’s no knowing how long to find a team. Meanwhile I just received a Director offer for a company with a 29% pay bump July 1. If Amazon or any other FAANG/large co gets back to me, is there an acceptable way to not burn bridges with new job and accept or delay start date with FAANG? Or fuck it just hop?

Anyone prepping for the SHRM-CP test? I’m taking a prep course this fall and would love tips or to know if there are any study groups out there!

Has anyone bought/ done the HRCI Certificate in Diversity and Inclusion in HR Management? I already have my PHR, but I’m looking to gain more knowledge/skills and beef up my resume. Is it worth doing? The course is $239 and you get 12 Recert credits with it.

I have two questions. I have 10 years of experience in multiple sectors and I have been trying to gain a leadership position. I am attempting my PHR this summer but what are some tips in order for me to obtain a leadership position? Also, how long does it take to obtain another position out of state? I am trying to move to Houston but I don’t want to move until I am confident I can obtain a position in the city before packing up and leaving.

When you look to choosing a position to apply for and lets assume you get to be choosy - will you go for a org with big HR team or smaller HR team? Currently an hrbp for a medium global org with 10 hrbps in the Americas org supporting different groups/ regions like i support canada and a business group - looking at a role where hrbp report to sr hrbp and she reports to Vp of HR. The TA Manager reports to the VP of Hr as well. Sounds like a smaller HR team - are there any benefits to this move?

Looking to get back into SaaS sales after a few year hiatus. Any tips or recommendations to ramp myself back into SaaS sales? Any podcast or books, etc?

Any thoughts on the best certifications to get in order to help move forward? I have considered the CCP from World at Work, but it’s fairly pricey to get by the time you wrap up everything. I was looking at both SHRM-CP and SPHR. Everyone that I have spoken to has the SHRM, but that’s also only looking at individuals in a small geographic footprint and within 3-4 different companies. Made a career pivot to another agency. During the interview we talked about how it may start as initially a "step backwards" (pay/benefits) but has potential for more long term growth. First day was yesterday. Had no communication about when or where to show up, sat in an empty office for about half an hour before a couple people finally showed. No phone call or email. Sent an email to the founder, no response. I could easily get my old job back if wanted.
