What is the notice period buyout policy in capgemini.

Does your firm give you credit for hours that were written off? Sometimes I feel if you don’t lose anything for hours cut from the bill, you have incentives not to be 100% honest w/ your timesheet.

If our mental health is not good at the moment, how do we convey it to the team? Most of the folks in my team take such things lightly and I feel weird to let them know about it. So I just have to lie and put a sick leave.
Also, even before friday ends, I start to stress about monday… and I think that is wrong. We should look forward to work and not stress about it but sadly the people around me here make me want to leave the office.

What are some good metrics for someone who mainly created user stories, created dashboards, interacted with the client and developed statistical models? Debevoise Hong Kong is hiring a tax associate (2nd to 5th years, but there may be flexibility in class year), ideally with experience in funds tax. Comp is the latest DPW/Cravath scale plus a COLA each year and moving costs. I'm currently there, and I'm happy to chat if anyone is interested.

How difficult is it to lateral to other areas of tax without prior experience in the area? (Ex: Income tax planning to estate planning, corporate tax to exec comp, or estate planning to controversy work, etc.) Assuming you have an LLM or a couple years of experience in your first tax area.

Recommendations for a west coast recruiter specializing in tax positions? For someone in biglaw who wants to go in house.

Has anyone dealt with stuffing allocation in a non-hedge fund context? It seems even in the HF world the law is fuzzy in using aggregate reverse 704c principles in stuffing allocations. Like, sure, the market is there but no authority really blessed it (other than some Cravath partner’s article in Tax Notes in 2013). If we are talking asset class that isn’t really like marketable securities but might be able to treat it similarly solely by virtue of, say, valuation on a quarterly basis (contd)

Anyone have any thoughts on a fair salary for a part time virtual tax prep-focused position? I’ve been made an offer for south of 800 hours/year (fluctuating for seasonal ebb and flow, of course), and I’m curious whether it’s a decent offer or not.
