Has anyone made the jump from the tax group of an AmLaw 100 firm to a Big 4 tax group? I have questions.

A little late the other day, saw there was an accident on Maps, sent this message to my B4 friends: "When you running late but get to blame it on the accident 😏" Realize I sent it to my senior 😱

Any suggested reading before starting at an MBB? Lateraling from Big 4 and looking to make the learning curve as manageable as possible.

I'm trying to figure out if EY considers my gf a spousal equivalent, so I asked independence and they literally responded, "We'd need to know if you are in a long-term relationship generally equivalent to that of a spouse?" I am embarking on a new position this next school year. I will be starting a new self-contained moderate class and need any useful tips for veterans of these classes.

How do you all handle non-billable work on top of meeting your billable targets (assuming no minimum requirement and bonus threshold not an issue)? I.e. If you have two hours of non-billable work to do (but it’s work that can be added to your time sheet like business development) do you still bill ~8 hours of billable work on top of that for a total of 10hrs on your sheet?

There are few things I loathe more than inefficiency, and the current way my office's development system works is peak inefficiency. Every day is a battle not to punch through my monitors.
