Best way to cash $2000 in visa gift cards?
I got H1B Visa and 83000 USD dollar petition amount as annual package.I am confused as this amount will be enough to survive there with wife and 7 year old daughter. My wife is working here and together we are earning 50LPA annual. We are settled here by owning house too.Confusion is my wife will not be able to work there on H4 Visa so the kind of life we are living here will not be possible there.Thoughts?Suggestions?Pros and Cons?

I transferred firms to EY almost a year ago. I’m currently a SA1. I recently got my H1-B extension. Is it reasonable to assume that EY will start my GC application once I’ve been with the firm for a year? Or do I need to be at a higher rank or have less time left on my H1-B for them to get the process started?

If you're hoping to get a green card someday, I 'd advise you against applying for any public benefits. While there may be some arguments that certain benefits don't fall under the current restrictions, there is no guarantee that this policy will remain the same by the time you apply for a green card. If I were you, I'd play safe than sorry later

No. This is also important because Trump Daddy is following the “public charge” rule. So you will be seen as violating the law and may be denied citizenship in the future.
Yup, that info is wrong. There is currently an injunction for the public charge rule and it’s not required to be filed for any adjustment of status process.

Yes, you can. Based on public charge final regulation, it is not considered as a public charge. Please google it, there are multiple sources which confirm it.

Yes, exactly. EY1 is right. Essentially they are going back and combing through people’s prior address, other personal records, etc., and using these for RFEs. So, unless you are in a tight spot financially, avoid applying.
