Does anyone know about the work visa system in Europe (not the UK)? I’m considering getting an MBA from EU schools such as INSEAD but don’t know if I can work freely there after graduation. I’m interested in Amsterdam as a potential base.

I have 10 yoe in Mainframe. I have below 2 offer:
infosys - 22.29L.
JPMorgan Chase - 27L, still negotiation going on (also have h1b visa if that matters in negotiation).
I am planning to join in JP Morgan. This is going to be my first company switch (working at onshore since last few years) so wanted to know below things:
1). Is 27L is good enough for 10 yoe resource ? I have seen people joining 24-25L at 4 yoe.
2). How is asset and wealth management (AWM)..? JP Morgan

Folks in the US on H1B: can we travel to Puerto Rico without our passports? My visa stamp expired and I haven’t been able to travel back to India to get a new one, have the approval notice w me though. Can I use my State ID when I get to Puerto Rico- do they have immigration there when we land or is it just like flying domestically in the US?

Hi Everyone, need some initial help (and can consult a lawyer after for more information). I am seeing many people switch jobs to Tech despite being in the green card queue. I believe it’s sometimes possible to retain the original priority date despite changing jobs. Barring regulation change, I also have a never ending wait for my priority date to become current. Can you help me understand the factors I should consider before deciding to change jobs from Consulting to Tech? What are the risks?

I'm a class of 2019 corporate/ecvc associate at a NY based EC/VC boutique. Just had my annual review: next year I'll be paid $175k/yr, with $10k bonus for hitting 1,600 hrs. 10% bonus on originated fees. Hours are definitely less than biglaw and the partners are nice to work with, but can't stop thinking about how I'd make almost double (albeit pretax) at a biglaw. Or should I just be happy that the tech downturn didn't bite my ass?
