I’ve lived in other countries and done implementations in other countries as well.
We had an open border, there is video evidence of it, there are border patrol agent testimony of how they had to “look the other way.”

You realize that the last time the US declared war was June 5, 1942, right? So by your standard, all conflicts the US has engaged in since then were illegal. Does your description of "illegal war" include the wars/military actions taken under Democratic administrations, or do you reserve that adjective for actions taken only during Republican administrations? I seem to remember Clinton bombing Kosovo for 79 days and Obama bombing Libya for seven months without Congressional approval. The War Powers Resolution of 1973 is toothless, as key part of it unconstitutional (INS v. Chadra, 1983) by the SCOTUS. If it were to come under review again, it would likely be declared entirely unconstitutional.
