Personally, I think yes as long as it’s being double checked by the licensed techs or Veterinarians. Just write down the equations for dosing drugs . Get into the habit of checking the dosing each time / someone checking it for you .
Of course, you don't have to love math or be incredible at it, you just need to be able to handle the very specific tasks that will involve number crunching.
I would say so, math was never my strongest suit and here I am today so it's certainly possible
I don't see why not? I think it all depends on the effort because once in a while you will have to use numbers, but there is nothing that a calculator cannot do.
It seems to me that of course, you can be a veterinary assistant, if it is your passion and it is what you want, it has nothing to do with mathematics.
It is a very strange question, but as a veterinary assistant once in a while I have had to calculate how many cc of medicine to provide the animal due to its size,
One thing or another needs math, but in my case the excel tables made by the person who was before me help me a lot, I'm lousy at math.
Hello, it all depends, on if you need one or another calculation, but if you really want to be a veterinary assistant because you love animals, don't let that stop you, learn what you need and take that step towards this beautiful job.
Most definitely! A vet assistant does not need to be good at math, just compassionate, organized, and able to follow instructions.
Yes, someone who is terrible at math can still be a vet assistant. I am terrible at math and I am a vet assistant. It just takes a lot of patience and practice.
