Bowl Leader
I admit it did at first. When I quit my good job years ago, I thought "I have a degree, I can get anything!". However that wasnn't the case, and I settled for a lower paying job (that I liked), until I was laid off. Then I thought I could bounce back, because I normally was no more than 3 weeks without work, but that wasn't the case. I admit that was a blow to my confidence, but am just trying to make due with freelance.
I wouldn't be able to tell. My family is toxic anyway and doesn't see me as a competent adult , despite all evidence to the contrary
Thanks. I try, but being jobless now is getting to me
Yes I do because although I am actively seeking employment and I am working so hard to find something I do feel discouraged at times. Especially rejection emails for jobs I've applied for that I've never been interviewed for. It's not easy waking up in the morning knowing full well that you don't have a job to go to everyday where you're earning your own money. I'm trying to put food on my table and I'm also trying to avoid ending being homeless and living on the streets
Rising Star
I am the only one in my friend group who is unemployed right now so I am the odd man out when it comes to the "how's work?" conversations that happen over drinks. It's definitely something that I try not to emphasize and tend to stay quiet until the work venting part of the evening is over. :)
"There once was a tiger striped cat. This cat died a million deaths, revived and lived a million lives, and he was owned by various people who he didn’t really care for. The cat wasn’t afraid to die. Then one day the cat became a stray cat, which meant he was free. He met a white female cat, and the two of them spent their days together happily. Well, years passed, and the white cat grew weak and died of old age. The tiger striped cat cried a million times, and then he died too. Except this time, he didn’t come back to life." ~Spike Spiegel (Cowboy Bebop)
Suppose that the world hates you because of your inability to perform in a world of shifting sand. So be it; we have the Suncha Ferreira/Masterkey Protocol; the Backup Dream.
It is okay to rest.
Can you explain the cat story? I was following along until the end
Hey guys I lost my job around feb this year and I’ve been constantly putting out apps and I get nothing back tried of course to stay a float.
